The engineering department consists of a well-functioning team of 10 members who provide day-to-day support for the airline's fleet of aircraft consisting of: DHC-6, DHC-7, DHC-8, BE-200, S-61N, Bell 212, Bell 222 and AS350 and support for the company's aircraft mechanics and maintenance organisation.
You will be part of a team of dedicated colleagues who undertake a series of tasks involving instructions for technical maintenance of electrical systems, instruments and components as well as monitoring and configuration control of aircraft components.
We work in a relaxed atmosphere with focus on professional solutions.
Your job will be to undertake analysis of manufacturers' and authorities' technical instructions. Your duties will include maintaining contact to manufacturers of components and other suppliers with regard to technical questions and you will also have contact to the authorities. Part of your day-to-day work will include following up on the technical reliability and operating data of electrical components and developing modifications aimed at improving reliability performance.
We expect you to be a qualified electrical engineer, aircraft electrician, electronics mechanic or have similar electronic qualifications and of course that you have considerable interest in technical matters. Experience in the aviation industry is desirable, but not required. You are a good analyst, you are systematic and you have a good overview. You thrive in an environment where there is an occasional element of unpredictability. You are result-oriented and deadlines do not make you nervous. You are able to work independently, but you are also good at working on projects in a team. In addition, you have a flair for IT and are fluent in English, both spoken and written. It is desirable that you know a Scandinavian language. We offer training in accordance with your background and experience.
Salary and terms of employment
The salary will be in accordance with the qualifications required by the position and on individual terms. Travel expenses in connection with starting/leaving the position and housing are covered in accordance with current Air Greenland policy.
