Sør-Trøndelag University College was established in 1994 in Trondheim. With 7 000 students it is the third largest university college in Norway, and one of the two dominant academic institutions in Trondheim. Job description The department offers civil engineering studies within automation, electronics, power electronics (high voltage) and communications technology. The study programmes are very popular and are thus benefitting from large numbers of applicants.
The work includes teaching and project supervising, network building, research and development work, and assignment work. The appointee must have good command of either English or Norwegian/Scandinavian language, both spoken and written.
Bachelor of the Electrical engineering programme is a three year study. The first two years are common to all students at the program. In the third year there are specialisation within different areas.
The Department of electrical engineering has laboratories with a wide range of equipment and instruments and a large number of PCs and workstations which are used as an integrated part of many courses. The department has a staff of 21 people.
The department's annual admission is approximately 80 students for the three year engineering programme. Successful completion of the three year course makes possible, subject to acceptance, entry into the 2 year Master of Engineering programme at "Norwegian University of Science and Technology" (NTNU).
Education, work experience, language, certificate etc. The position require a minimum of Master's degree or equivalent in electrical/ power engineering, preferably specialising in high voltage/ power technology. Relevant work experience from industry and/or research is an advantage.
Good command of either English or Norwegian/Scandinavian language, both spoken and written is needed.
Working hours and place of work 0800-1530 (flexible solutions)

Salary NOK 4-500,000.- / EUR 50-60,000.- a year (dependant on skills and relevant experience)
