General information: We are looking for a person in permanent position for our branch in Floroe. The task demand is two persons in shift, working schedule 2:1, (presently two months on, one month off). The applicant must count on permanent residence in Floroe area with Norwegian working conditions.
Information about the position: Independent inspections and sampling of bulk and tank cargoes. The position also requires jetty operation during unloading of vessels. Therefore the applicant must be familiar with cargo handling. Other inspection tasks must also be expected. We offer on job training with one of our experienced inspectors necessary for execution of the task.
Position demands: The applicant must have cargo-surveyor or maritime experience. We prefer ex. deck officers, preferably with experience from oil/chemical tankers. The applicants must be authoritative and have interpersonal skills, be fluent in English both orally and writing. Basic computer-skills, we are using MS-office. Driving licence must be held as a service car is available for work outside branch area. Applicant must also commit himself to learn Norwegian language, working language English.
Wages: NOK 340 000 (Approx EUR 42 500,-) gross pr. year. Prospect for further income might be expected.
Housing: Employer will provide room.
Family: The employer will assist you if you bring your family.

Kynning á tækifærum og styrkjum í Evrópusamstarfi
Kynning á tækifærum og styrkjum í evrópsku og norrænu samstarfi verður haldin á Háskólatorgi fimmtudaginn 12. janúar 2010 kl. 15-17.30. Þar gefst færi á að hitta fulltrúa evrópskra samstarfsáætlana og þjónustuskrifstofa á Íslandi og kynna sér möguleika á styrkjum og samstarfi á öllum sviðum menntamála, rannsókna, vísinda, nýsköpunar, menningar og atvinnulífs. Einnig verða kynntar nokkrar norrænar áætlanir.

Vinnumálastofnun og EURES standa fyrir starfakynningu í Ráðhúsi Reykjavíkur föstudaginn 14. október kl. 17:00 – 20:00 og laugardaginn 15. október kl. 12:00 – 18:00. Á kynningunni verða kynnt laus störf og veittar upplýsingar um starfs- og búsetuskilyrði víða í Evrópu. Einnig gefst fólki færi á að ræða beint og milliliðalaust við evrópska atvinnurekendur.
