Every year, mining operations at Titania AS, Hauge i Dalane, Sokndal, produce some 9 million metric tonnes of ore and rock. This is used to produce raw titanium for the European pigment industry. Titania is among the world's largest titanium mines, with an ore body that has sufficient resources for several generations of operation. The works employs about 260 people and is owned by Kronos Worldwide, a leading manufacturer of titanium dioxide, with production plants in Norway, Germany, Belgium, USA and Canada.

Titania AS is seeking Industrial Mechanics with proper accreditation and/or relevant practice for mechanical maintenance operations.
The factory Maintenance Department is responsible for day-to-day and preventive maintenance of heavy mining equipment and a large process facility, consisting of rock crushers, conveyor belts, grinding mills, pump systems, piping and plumbing, liquid-oil separators, flotation tanks, and other production equipment.
