As a medical specialist in our organisation, you will be working with the consultant, visiting and treating hospitalised patients as well as patients linked to our district psychiatry programme.
During the day, you will be part of the forensic psychiatric department in Middelfart, and you will be working as an attending physician in a 5-shift on call system from your residence.
The Department of Psychiatry in Middelfart, comprises two general psychiatry wards, one gerontopsychiatric ward and a forensic psychiatry ward - 60 beds in all. We also operate a day-care ward, a district psychiatry function and an outpatients' department.
At present, the staff of the department comprises 12 consultants and 14 junior doctors.
The working environment is informal, with high emphasis on professionalism and a close working relationship between the professional disciplines.
Our medical specialists are highly skilled in fields such as gerontopsychiatry, forensic psychiatry and psychotherapy. Four of our consultants are approved counsellors in psychotherapy.
