The position is part of a regional team of technologists and supervisors responsible for the surface maintenance of the bituminised road network. The work of this team involves pavement design for rehabilitation and new construction, materials technology, procurement and choice of method for the surface maintenance.

Areas of responsibility:

• surface maintenance and pavement rehabilitation

• monitoring of pavement performance of the entire road network

• pavement design

• quality control

• assessment of maintenance needs and development of maintenance strategies

• contribution to increased knowledge of the professional field

The position involves broad personal contact with consultants and contractors as well as internally within the Roads Administration.

Qualifications and background

We seek a cooperative and ambitious person with professional aspirations. Both creativity and an analytical approach to challenges are important qualities in this position.

A positive and diverse workplace

We comprise a small, creative and efficient project organisation. In the daily life we appreciate enthusiasm, humour and care for fellow colleagues.

We offer good conditions of employment, flexible and predictable working hours and the choice of time-off or payment as remuneration for overtime work.

The preferred office location for the position is Oslo, alternatively at one of our other offices in the Eastern Region, i.e. Lillehammer, Gjøvik, Hamar or Moss.

It is of concern for The Norwegian Public Roads Administration that the staff should reflect society as a whole, comprising employees of all ages, both genders and from a variety of ethnic groups. As part of being a diverse organisation ee actively seek competent candidates having disabilities of some form.
