Information about the position: The Central Surgical Department at Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen is one of Norway’s largest surgical units with 19 operating rooms and an ambulatory surgery unit. It is an exciting and active department that performs orthopaedic surgery, plastic and burn surgery, neurosurgery, ear, nose, throat and jaw surgery, thoracic surgery and general surgery. The department performs both elective and emergency surgery. We would like to recruit several new capable, committed and positive surgical nurses to the Central Surgical Department.
Position demands/ Work duties: Surgical nurses have the responsibility for planning and preparing for operation, they have the role both as assisting nurse and circulating nurse, as well as having responsibility for hygiene and sterility.
Level of education: 3 years of training as nurse, and completed advanced training as surgical nurse. Personal qualities: You are professionally confident and want to do a good job, you cooperate well and have a good work capacity, and you are flexible and contribute to a good working environment. Qualifications: You must work and organize your efficiently, you must have good IT knowledge, must master written and oral Norwegian, or you must be willing to learn within a short period of time.
Wages: NOK 367 000 – 410 000 gross pr. year (app € 45 000 – 51 000), depending on experience and qualifications. Following will be offered: pension scheme, housing assistance, day care assistance, an educational professional environment, working hours based on a three-shift system. The employer will also assist you with accommodation.
