About the company: Ceragon Networks (Nera Networks AS) is an international technology company within the telecommunication industry. The company develops and manufactures advanced microwave and radio link equipment, which is used in transmission networks for mobile companies, safety networks for national authorities, offshore communications and defense systems. Information about the position Protocols in future infrastructure: Preparing for 4th generation mobile communications systems and beyond, we want to participate in development of protocol solutions for future communication infrastructure. The work will presumably focus on selected challenges related to themes like transmission capacity and delay aspects, routing and signalling in networks with wireless links. Parts of the work may also address interoperability between equipment vendors and international standardization. The work will be carried out in cooperation with Bergen University College, Norway and Center for TeleInFrastruktur, CTIF at the University of Aalborg, Denmark. CTIF will be responsible for the academic degree and give superior guidance. Bergen University College will give day-to-day guidance, and Ceragon will follow-up the work on subject level.
Position demands: Must be qualified for acceptance as PHD-student.
Wages: NOK 400,000 (50,000 EURO) gross per year.
