SINTEF Fisheries and Aquaculture is looking for talented researchers

SINTEF Fisheries and Aquaculture Ltd is a research institute in the SINTEF group. Our 120 employees cover a wide range of academic backgrounds, and apply their knowledge to the sustainable use of marine resources. The institute finds solutions to challenges along the entire marine value chain, from the biological basis for marine production, through aquaculture and capture fisheries technology to processing and distribution. Today the institute has project activities in the region of 150 million NOK, all of which contribute to an increasingly advanced and technology-driven fisheries and aquaculture industry.

The successful candidates will have an interest and ability to work in multidisciplinary development projects involving close contact with industry. This implies that the candidates are active in identifying challenges and development opportunities, and are able to solve these in cooperation with researchers from a variety of backgrounds, as well as industrial and other partners. A strong academic background (minimum MSc) and good communication skills are therefore necessary. Prior experience of multidisciplinary work, as well as experience from the marine industry is advantageous.
