About the company:
At Kongeparken our goal is to become the leading theme park in Scandinavia.
Our mission is to give our guest a good day, filled with magic and excitement and our work is focused on six values: learn, play, share, explore, magic and excitement.
In 2002 the park was voted the best park in Norway and has since been consistently ranked as one of the top theme parks in Norway. The park is based around the story of teddy bears, and is ruled by the Bear King. It is known for attractions like the Freia Chocolate Factory, “Luftskipet” (the highest attraction in Norway), “Bukkerittet” (a rollercoaster in the castle), “Bobbanen” (a 1000m long bobsled ride) and “Barnas Brannstasjon” (the children’s fire station). The park's target guests are children from birth to 14-years-old who visit with their parents or grandparents.
The park belongs to Lund Gruppen, one of the oldest amusement companies in Europe established in 1895. It owns and operates Lunds Tivoli, Kongeparken, Eventyrlandet, HamarMartn, Landstreffet, LundGruppen Arrangement among others.
In 2012 Kongeparken is the winner of the THEA AWARDS for “Barnas Brannstasjon” for the best attraction on a limited budget up to USD 5 million.
