Senior Lecturer in Computer Game Engineering
Computer Game Engineering is a part of the Pervasive and Mobile Computing research group with 9 seniors and 7 PhD students. We have focus on production and design of real-time virtual environments for multiple simultaneous users and mobility between networks and platforms. The position is situated at LTU in Skellefteå, which is known for closeness, creativity and entrepreneurship.
To be qualified for appointment as professor is a person who has shown academic and pedagogical skills. Equal attention is devoted to the assessment of pedagogical skills as to the assessment of academic skills.
Applicants must show that s/he is among the leaders of their discipline and be able to account for original and innovative scientific activities of high international standard. Typically, this is documented in the form of articles in recognized international journals, or as anthologies, monographs.
Pedagogical skills include skills in planning, execution and evaluation of teaching. A professor must have completed training in supervision and typically have been the main supervisor for at least one graduate student until PhD defence and dissertation.
The following assessment criteria are applied for the position:
• Documented academic skills
• Documented qualified pedagogical skills
• Documented experience of qualified supervision
Applicants must be able to teach in Swedish and/or English. Good Swedish is considered as a merit.
Other criteria (which are weighted equally)
- Proven skill and experience in the management and development of research
- Proven skill and experience in research funding
- Proven skill and experience in industrially based research
- Proven skill and experience in interacting with the surrounding community, including experience in collaboration with other research areas
