Responsible Dogsledding Guide
Responsibilities / tasks:
- The health and wellbeing of our huskies
- Summer and wintertime training
- Behaviour training
- Basic maintenance of the dog yard
- Customer service
What we expect from you:
You care about the wellbeing of our dogs (40 huskies) and are willing to do your very best to ensure this. You have long experience from working with sled dogs as well as both wintertime and summertime training with them. You have at least basic understanding of the healthcare of dogs. You are a professional and hardworking person who is precise and thorough in your work. You are flexible and can think for yourself, and thrive in a fast paced work environment. You are a team player who understands the importance of good working athmosphere. You are not expected to be a carpenter, but the more handy you are the better as there is always something needing to be fixed at any dog yard.
You have good communication skills in English, Norwegian and/or any other languages are considered a big plus.
Previous experience from working with sled dogs is required without any exceptions.
