Labour market in April 2010
Unemployment was 9,8% by men in April 2010 or down from 10,2% in March 2010 and 8,1% by women, the same as in March 2010.
Unemployment by age
There were 3.024, 16-24 years unemployed in April 2010 or 19% of all unemployed in April 2010. In March 2010 there were 3.147 young unemployed.
Long-term unemployed
There were 8.917 unemployed for a period over 6 months in April 2010 or up with 384 from the previous month. Unemployed over 12 months were 4.662 in the end of April 2010 or up from 4.601 in the end of March 2010.
Open vacancies
The number of open vacancies was 287 in the end of April 2010 or up from 256 in the end of March 2010.
Granted work permits
There were 23 new work permits issued in April 2010, up from 17 in March 2010.
The unemployment forecast for May 2010
It is expected that unemployment will decrease in May 2010 and be between 8,6% and 9%
