The labour market in March 2011
The unemployment in March 2011 was 8,6% or in average 13.757, which is slightly down from 13.772 in February 2011 and down from 9,3% in March 2010.
Unemployment by gender:
Unemployment by men was 9,2% or down from 9,1% in February 2011 and down from 10,2% in March 2010. Unemployment by women was 7,8% or the same as in February 2011 but down from 8,1% in March 2010.
Unemployment by age:
There were 2.741 young (16-24 years ) unemployed in March 2011 or up from 2.722 in February 2011 but down from 3.147 in March 2010.
Unemployment by length:
There were 8.189 unemployed for a period over 6 months in March 2011 up from 7.662 in February 2011. Those unemployed over 1 year were 4.837 or up from 4.820 in February 2011.
Open vacancies:
There were 217 open vacancies in the end of March 2011 or up from 198 in the end of February 2011.
Granted work permits:
There were 25 new work permits issued in March 2011 or up from 20 in February 2011.
The unemployment forecast for April 2011:
It is expected that the unemployment in April 2011 will be less than in March 2011 and be between 8,1% and 8,5%.

The unemployment in November 2011 was 7,1% or in average 11.348, which is 430 more than in October 2011 with 6,8%, but down from 7,7% in November 2010.
