The labour market in July 2011

The unemployment in July 2011 was 6,6% or in average 11.423 or 281 fewer than in June 2011 with 6,7% and 11.704 unemployed.

Unemployment by gender:

Unemployment by men was 6,5% or down from 6,8% in June 2011 and down from 7,4% in July 2010.  Unemployment by women was 6,8% or up from 6,7% in June 2011 but down from 7,5% in July 2010.

Unemployment by age:
There were 1.930 young (16-24 years) unemployed in July 2011 or down from 2.032 unemployed young in June 2011 and down from 2.315 young unemployed in July 2010.

Unemployment by length:
There were 7.614 without a job over 6 months in July 2011 or up from 7.581 in June 2011.  Those unempoyed over 1 year were 4.554 in July 2011 or down from 4.609 in June 2011.

Open vacancies:
There were 296 open vacancies in July 2011 or down from 349 in June 2011.

Granted work permits:
There were 25 new work permits issued in July 2011 or down from 26 open vacancies in June 2011.

The unemployment forecast for August 2011:
It is expected that the unemployment in August 2011 will not change considerable and be between 6,4%-6,7%.
