Where are the museums and libraries? The theatres? Any interesting exhibitions?
On Thursday, July 16th at 8 p.m. you can take a guided walking tour of downtown Reykjavík where the cultural life in the city centre will be introduced with a bit of history mixed in. You can choose if you want to join an English speaking guide, a Spanish one, a Polish one or a Thai speaking one. The walks take about an hour, after which all four groups meet at the Reykjavík Art Museum in Tryggvagata for an intercultural get-together with a cup of coffee, a light snack and some Icelandic music. Sigríður Thorlacius, singer of the band Hjaltalín, and Daníel Friðrik Böðvarsson will sing and play for the guests.
The walks take off from Reykjavík City Library in Tryggvagata 15 at 8 p.m. They are free of charge and no booking is needed. The program is hosted by Reykjavik City Library, The Reykjavik Art Museum, City Museum and the Reykjavik Museum of Photography.
Everybody is welcome!
