Long-term unemployment
There were 8.332 unemployed over 6 months, which is up from 8.219 in June 2010. Those unemployed for a period over 1 year were 4.482 in July 2010 or down from 4.526 in June 2010.
Open vacancies
There were 387 open vacancies in July 2010 or up from 329 in June 2010.
Granted work permits
There were 39 new work permits issued in July 2010 or up from 14 in June 2010.
The unemployment forecast for August 2010
It is expected that the unemployment will decline in August 2010 and be between 7,1% and 7,5%.
