SLAUGHTERING SEASON IN ICELAND NORDLENSKA is one of the leading companies in Iceland in the meat market. The company has its branches in Akureyri, Húsavík, Reykjavík, and Höfn in Hornafjörður. Norðlenska is looking for workers for the sheep slaughtering season 2009 in Húsavík and in Höfn. Húsavík - north east coast of Iceland: Around 25 persons are needed for these jobs from approximately August the 27th until the 23rd of October. Höfn - south east coast of Iceland Around 15 persons are needed for these jobs from approximately September the 21st until the 30th of October. Total wages are approximately 218.000 ISK. pr. month before taxes and duties, for 8 hours work pr. day. Tax is 37,2% and tax reduction is 1.387,58 ISK per day during stay in Iceland. Pension and labor union are 5% of total salary. The working time is minimal 8 daytime hours per day. The company provides and pays for; • Accommodations • Food during working hours • All needed working clothes The company will sponsor international flight, maximum 50.000 ISK, paid in the end of the work period.
