Payment slips in electronic form
Unemployment payment slips are not sent out in paper through regular mail anymore (from October 2009). They're only displayed electronicly on your personal account at the Directorates of Labour (Vinnumálastofnun) application website and at the Social Insurance (Tryggingastofnun) website www.tryggur.is/
Where can I find the payment slip?
If you are not registered at the Vinnumálastofnun website, you can register with minimal information to get access to the payment slips - see information in this pdf-document.
Go to the Vinnumálstofnun website, www.vinnumalastofnun.is . Login to the web application by clicking on this icon

Then please enter your „kennitala“ and password in the menu that appears.
When you are logged into the application website, you will find the payment slips on the left side in the green menu, see arrow:
When you click on „Greiðsluseðlar“, a list of the years in question opens (see an example in the next image of a person who received unemployment benefits in 2002 and 2009)
When you click on the year, a list appears of all the payment slips issued that year, the amount and number. (See the next image, where the year 2009 has been selected.)
To have a closer look at one of the payment slips, click sækja in front of the relevant date and the payment slip opens in PDF-format.
